Canteen Concerts & the Politics of Play

This weekend I shared my research into WWII factory canteen concerts at the ‘Play and its Potential Publics’ symposium at the Institute of Advanced Studies, UCL.


Revolutionary Red Tape is a four-year research project funded by the British Academy and led by Dr Emma West. It explores how pioneering public servants, artists and administrators worked to increase public access to the arts in modern Britain.
